We are looking for a passionate Legal Counsel responsible for the CEE Region as a part of the growing European Legal & Compliance Team in a highly dynamic and international environment. The position will be based in Warsaw (Poland). Candidates from countries outside of Poland are welcome to apply, if they are willing to relocate to Warsaw.

You will support the business of Xiaomi with your proven expertise and pragmatic, business oriented and pro-active advice.

Given the range of Xiaomi`s business, the position will include all fields of Law and you will be required to step out of the comfort zone in a startup-like environment. This position will directly report to the Head of Legal Europe with dotted line to the local management.

The offered Position is a great opportunity to manage the legal issues within the region with great autonomy and to contribute to Xiaomi’s expansion in the local market.

The position will include the following tasks:

-Legal Advice and Research on Laws and Regulations

-Draft, Review and Negotiate a wide variety of national and international contracts

-Drafting of Guidelines, Policies and Templates

-Review of Marketing Material and Marketing Campaigns

-Communication with Regulatory Authorities

-Coordination of disputes and claims, including managing external counsels

-Support in promoting the Compliance Program

-Support and advice to the finance, tax, sales and HR department

-Liaise with the HQ Legal Team

-Assist in the further development of the Legal & Compliance Department

Job requirement

Candidate Profile:

-Law qualification;

-Minimum 2 years of experience gained as an in-house lawyer or as a lawyer in a law firm in advising business clients;

-Full proficiency in English;

-Strong commercial sense and pragmatism;

-Being able to prioritize and handle tight deadlines;

Candidates without the above qualification and proven experience/expertise cannot be considered. Please note that this is an office-based position.
