Job Description
The Corporate Tax department is responsible for Wolters Kluwer NV Group’s global Corporate Income Tax position. This responsibility includes amongst other controlling, managing & optimizing the tax charge and cash tax cost on a worldwide bases and within legal framework (law, resolutions, tax treaties). The Corporate tax department is as such amongst others responsible for the filing requirements specifically in the Netherlands. With the tax accounting and reporting team this role is responsible for assisting in timely, correct and complete preparation of the corporate income tax returns of all Wolters Kluwer companies in the Netherlands and in cooperation with Accounting and Reporting Department preparing calculations for the tax positions in the internal and external reporting and assisting in analyzing the tax position of Wolters Kluwer entities worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Assist in determining, analyze and provide calculations for all corporate income tax positions in Wolters Kluwer Group reporting in monthly actuals, annual report, budgets, multi-year forecasts and latest estimates
- Assist in implementation of (global) tax structures and projects to optimize the tax positions within de Group and execute tax control over administration of tax planning structures and projects
- Assist in a correct and thorough allocation of (Corporate Office) costs to Group companies and provide necessary back up TP documentation
- Assist in submission of Dutch corporate income tax returns with review of an external counsel
- Assist in managing annual return to provision process and annual tax position (status filing, audits and exposures) overviews for all legal entities within the Wolters Kluwer Group
- Assist in discussing the Dutch corporate income tax return and Dutch tax positions with Dutch tax authorities
- Assist in corporate finance projects and work together with relevant teams
- Assist in tax compliance (Master File, Local File, Total Tax Contribution, Country-by-Country Reporting, Pillar 2)
Requirements
- HBO degree, or university degree in (IFRS) accounting with interest and affinity for (international) tax accounting
- Interest and affinity in tax
- Some knowledge of and experience in accounting and consolidation software (SAP, Tagetik, etc.) and Microsoft Office (365, Excel, Word , etc.)
- 0-3 years experience in accounting and/or tax accounting
- Analytical, financial savvy, problem solving
- Self-manager work, able to cope with time pressure / stress
- Good knowledge of the English. Dutch fluency is a plus
- Team player, good people skills
