Are you ready to drive growth in healthcare while working with one of the world’s leading clinical decision support solutions?

For UpToDate, we are looking for a Senior Account Manager Benelux to join our team at Wolters Kluwer in Alphen a/d Rijn.

About Wolters Kluwer & the Team

Wolters Kluwer Health is a global leader in healthcare information and clinical decision support. Within our Clinical Effectiveness division, we empower healthcare professionals to make informed decisions at the point of care.

Our flagship solution, UpToDate, is trusted by clinicians worldwide and holds an exceptional market share of over 98% in hospitals across the Benelux. It delivers evidence-based recommendations grounded in the latest scientific research, directly impacting patient outcomes.

You’ll join an international, collaborative team spanning the Benelux, Nordics, and beyond. Locally, you will work closely with Sales and Customer Success colleagues, in a culture defined by trust, teamwork, and long-term relationships.

About the Role

As a Senior Account Manager, you will take ownership of an established client portfolio across the Benelux, with a strong focus on Belgium (including Wallonia) and the Netherlands.

This is a strategic, value-based sales role where success is defined by retention and sustainable growth. You will engage with high-level stakeholders such as physicians, hospital leadership, and C-level decision-makers to position the value of our solutions.

What Will You Do?

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing healthcare clients (hospitals, universities, medical institutions)

  • Drive contract renewals and ensure high customer retention

  • Identify and develop cross-sell and upsell opportunities (e.g. Lexidrug)

  • Build and manage your sales pipeline, contributing to new business growth

  • Deliver compelling value-based sales conversations with senior stakeholders

  • Conduct regular client visits to drive customer engagement (minimum 4 touchpoints per year, including on-site visits)

  • Analyze usage data to optimize adoption and demonstrate ROI

  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success on onboarding, training, and customer engagement

  • Maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline management in Salesforce (CRM)

  • Stay on top of market developments (including AI innovations) and translate them into customer value

What Makes This Role Interesting?

  • Market leader position: Work with a product that dominates the market and truly makes a difference in patient care

  • Strategic impact: Engage in meaningful, high-level discussions that influence healthcare outcomes

  • Relationship-driven sales: Focus on long-term partnerships and value-based selling

  • International exposure: Collaborate across regions

  • High ownership: Manage your own territory and customer strategy

  • Content-driven conversations: Combine commercial skills with medical and scientific insights

Your Profile

  • Fluent in Dutch, French, and English

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in account management and/or field sales

  • Proven experience within the healthcare / medical / clinical solutions sector

  • Strong track record in value-based selling and negotiating at senior (C-level) stakeholders

  • Experience working with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • A proactive, self-driven professional with strong organizational discipline

You are also:

  • A strong relationship builder who inspires trust at all levels

  • Confident and resilient in complex negotiation environments

  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative and supportive culture

  • Authentic, reliable, and motivated by long-term success rather than quick wins

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • A strategic and stable value-based sales role with long-term impact

  • The opportunity to work for a globally recognized clinical solutions leader

  • Competitive salary with a performance-based bonus structure

  • A hybrid working model with flexibility and autonomy

  • Company car, laptop, and phone

  • A collaborative and supportive team environment

  • Opportunities to deepen your expertise and grow within a high-value solution portfolio

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you’re passionate about healthcare, skilled in strategic sales, and ready to make a real difference in a high-impact environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and help shape the future of clinical decision-making across the Benelux.
