Instructional Designer

As an Instructional Designer, you will help users get the most value out of our products by creating clear, engaging, and accessible instructional content. Your work will support both new product releases and the ongoing adoption of the existing products.

You will collaborate with product managers and subject matter experts to transform product functionality into how‑to videos, feature explanations, and other educational materials that strengthen product understanding and user adoption.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Create and update instructional content such as: How‑to videos, Feature walkthroughs or short instructional assets supporting product adoption.

  • Support product release cycles by ensuring educational content is accurate, timely, and aligned with release requirements.

  • Produce content that helps improve understanding and usage of existing product features, especially where adoption gaps exist.

  • Collaborate with product managers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional partners to gather accurate product information.

  • Maintain and continuously enhance the library of product education materials.

  • Collect and analyse user feedback or content performance to refine and improve materials.

  • Assist in adopting new tools, formats, and processes to improve content creation efficiency and quality.

  • Support internal enablement efforts by providing content or knowledge that helps customer-facing teams understand product capabilities.

  • Ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment of product messages across all educational content.

One day, you are working on a tutorial about e.g. chemical management, the other day you collaborate with the product team to come up with a training about the topic Control of work. The vast variety of tasks and topics never leaves you bored. Together with a close-knit team, you help achieve results and make our client-facing teams and customers happy.

About You

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Training in Instructional Design.

  • Knowledge of ADDIE and SAM models.

  • Minimum of 2 – 3 years of experience in an instructional design role or a comparable position such as e.g. technical writer, ideally within a comparable industry.

Competencies:

  • Instructional Content Design: Ability to explain product features in clear, intuitive ways.

  • Content Creation: Experience producing instructional videos or similar multimedia content.

  • Communication: Strong ability to simplify complex concepts for broad audiences.

  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn product functionality and use tools for video editing and content management.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data and feedback to improve content relevance and effectiveness.

  • Project Coordination: Strong organizational skills aligned with product timelines.

  • Collaboration: Works effectively with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.


The team

Collaboration is at the core of what we do—you will form a team with 2 other instructional designers and one video editor. You will collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Documentation, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality content that make a real difference. At our office in Alphen aan den Rijn, you will work twice a week with your core team coming from all parts of the world.
