Are you a senior Technology Manager or Engineering Manager looking to combine strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise? Do you want to build modern, scalable platforms that empower legal and compliance professionals worldwide and deliver measurable impact?

As a Technology Manager within Wolters Kluwer’s Digital eXperience Group (DXG), supporting the Legal & Regulatory division, you will play a key role in the digital transformation of legal technology and compliance solutions. Working within our central global technology organization, you help guide technology delivery, shape architectural direction, and collaborate closely with product and business teams to build robust, future-ready solutions at scale.

The Role

As Technology Manager – DXG Legal & Regulatory, you are responsible for end-to-end technology delivery. You translate business and product priorities into actionable technology roadmaps and guide their execution from concept through delivery.

You provide hands-on technical leadership, set architectural direction, and ensure high standards across engineering practices. Acting as a bridge between business, product management, and engineering, you ensure alignment, scalability and quality across solutions.

You work in a global, matrixed environment, collaborating closely with international, cross-functional teams, including onshore and offshore engineering partners. With your leadership and technical expertise, you drive consistency, innovation and operational excellence across distributed teams.

What You Will Do

As Technology Manager – Legal Tech, you will:

  • Translate business strategy and product priorities into clear technology roadmaps
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, guiding solution design, architecture decisions and development reviews
  • Drive delivery across international, matrixed teams and external partners
  • Improve engineering effectiveness through standardization, modernization and reusable components
  • Ensure security, reliability, and compliance with privacy and business continuity standards
  • Collaborate closely with product management and business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and manage trade-offs
  • Support AI initiatives, including GenAI applications within software development
  • Build and optimize cloud-native applications using modern architectures and best practices

Your Skills and Experience

  • 6–10 years of experience in software engineering, software development, or similar technical roles
  • 2–4 years of experience in technical leadership, engineering management, or technology delivery
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud-native development, CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software architectures
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies in international, matrixed environments
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into technical solutions
  • Professional fluency in English (Dutch is a plus)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with legal software or a background in the legal domain
  • Experience applying AI or GenAI in software development

Who You Are

You are a confident and pragmatic technology leader who combines strategic thinking with execution power. You communicate clearly at both technical and executive levels and can translate complex topics for non-technical stakeholders.

You thrive in international, matrixed environments and naturally connect people, teams, and ideas. With your coaching mindset and solution-oriented approach, you inspire teams, set clear priorities, and consistently deliver results.

Why Join Wolters Kluwer?

You will join Wolters Kluwer’s Digital eXperience Group (DXG), the company’s central global technology organization. DXG’s mission is to accelerate innovation and improve efficiency by enabling the adoption of advanced technologies that meet and anticipate evolving customer needs.

DXG drives innovation across Wolters Kluwer through:

This role offers a unique combination of strategic influence, hands-on leadership, and global impact, within a stable, forward-looking organization investing heavily in cloud, AI, and modern software engineering.
