Lead Product Software Engineer We are looking for an innovative technical Lead Product Software Engineer to join our Control of Work team within Wolters Kluwer Enablon.

About The RoleAs a Lead Product Software Engineer, you are a critical member of our CoW Software Development Teams. You will work closely together with Tech Leads, Product Owners, Architects, QA Specialists, other stakeholders and colleagues to implement new features, remove technical debt, maintain/improve quality, operate the company’s Software Development Lifecycle, and propose and implement best practices.
Your ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you are responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering features. You align with Technical Leads, Architects, and product experts to deliver high-quality functional enhancements and well-designed solutions to technical and functional issues. You report on challenges, issues, and outcomes and advise on solutions to improve the code quality attributes of software products. You act to impact the achievement of product and company objectives positively.
Lead the development of the products in scope
- Facilitate the Development Team to:
- Implement features according to the product owner’s specification
- Ensure that User Stories meet the DoR and DoD at the appropriate stages of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on time and on budget.
- Assess any application and process improvement opportunities and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
- Respond to requests for information or help by leveraging team knowledge, experience, and capabilities
- Maintain the quality of deliverables and development processes.
- Respond to code quality and vulnerability assessments to maintain/restore acceptable compliance and quality measures.
- Comply with mandated company practices and processes.
- Collaborate with other software developers, QA engineers, product owners, and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain business applications.
- Assist in collecting and documenting user requirements, estimates, and work plans.
- Design and implement features according to defined use cases.
- Deliver non-functional test campaigns, report results, and indicate areas of improvement to the engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot defects and create solutions to decrease the maintenance pipeline.
- Review pull requests and give recommendations to improve code quality and best practices.
- Empower people and teams stimulating them to achieve the objectives together.
- Work with other leads and architects to contribute to the company’s best practices.
- Proactively identify and propose solutions to potential issues.
- Bachelor of Computer Science, with multiple development specialties or experience; or solid professional track record in software development.
- 7+ years of experience as a software developer, Full stack/Back-end developer.
- Tech stack: GIT, Azure DevOps, .Net Core (back-end and full stack), React JS (front-end and full stack). EHS products specific: scripting languages (Powershell, etc.), SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of the standard tools for continuous integration.
- Experience with leading the technical initiatives of a product, significant component, or module.
- Hands-on technical leadership of the development and long-term maintenance of a product, component, or module.
- Experience with REST API, SOLID Principles, Microservices, Docker, and TDD.
- Working experience of SCRUM.
- The ability to work independently while focusing on achieving optimal outcomes as part of a collaborative development effort. A can-do personality with a constructive mindset and a team player.
