This is not a traditional “junior sales” role.

As a Business Development Representative at Virtual Vaults, you are responsible for creating commercial momentum and opening strategic conversations in a competitive international market. You are the starting point of revenue growth. Your work directly contributes to:

You introduce prospects to a platform that helps deal teams gain control over complex M&A processes through better collaboration, deal preparation, lifecycle orchestration and execution. This role is built for people who enjoy performance, structure and continuous improvement.

Your role

As a BDR, you are responsible for building pipeline, not simply booking meetings. You create opportunities through high-quality outbound activity and disciplined execution. You know that strong commercial performance is built on consistency, rhythm and ownership. You spend a significant part of your day proactively reaching out to senior professionals across private equity, corporate finance, legal and corporate environments. You operate with:

You work closely with Account Executives to create predictable pipeline growth across European markets.

This role is based in our Rotterdam office because coaching, collaboration and performance culture are central to how we operate.

What will you be doing?

Outbound prospecting & pipeline creation

You proactively create new commercial opportunities through outbound activity across phone, email and LinkedIn. You target high-value accounts across Europe with focus and intent. Your responsibility is not only to generate meetings, but to contribute directly to sustainable pipeline growth and future revenue generation. This includes:

  • High-volume outbound activity

  • Prospect research and account targeting

  • Building outreach sequences

  • Creating interest and urgency

  • Opening strategic conversations

High-performance calling rhythm

You enjoy the rhythm, discipline and competitive nature of outbound sales and understand that commercial success is driven by consistency over time. This role comes with clear performance expectations and measurable commercial standards.

We believe high performance starts with ownership, discipline and execution quality. Typical KPI expectations include:

  • Outbound activities per day: 50-100

  • Dials per day: 50

  • Connected calls per day: 15-20

  • Meetings or demos booked per month: 15

  • Active prospects per month: 400

Discovery & qualification

You lead focused first conversations with prospects and know how to identify commercial potential early. You learn how to:

You use frameworks such as SPICED to build strong qualification habits from the start.

Collaboration with Account Executives

You work closely with Account Executives to strengthen pipeline quality and commercial execution. Together you align on:

  • Target accounts

  • Outreach strategy

  • Messaging

  • Deal priorities

  • Pipeline progression

CRM discipline & forecasting support

You maintain high CRM discipline and contribute to pipeline visibility and forecasting quality. You:

  • Log activity accurately

  • Track conversations carefully

  • Maintain clean pipeline data

  • Support commercial reporting and insights

Coaching & development

You participate in weekly coaching, call reviews and commercial training sessions. You continuously improve:

Experience
  • 0–3 years of experience in sales or business development

  • SaaS or M&A experience is a plus

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level is preferred
