We provide a significant contribution to the most major Space programs of the European Space Agency, EUSPA and other Telespazio Groups. Our core business is to work on the ground to build bridges into space, contributing to the success of ambitious missions.

The European Space Agency is our biggest client and we provide highly qualified employees to many sites of ESA but mainly for ESTEC in the Netherlands, and we provide a permanent contract with great benefits, a good salary, a relocation package along with genuine support to our employees.

We are looking for a pragmatic and impact-driven Data Intelligence Engineer who can quickly translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions. In particular to sell the benefits of AI and Machine Learning integration. The ideal candidate combines strong statistical and machine learning knowledge with hands-on software engineering skills, and thrives in environments with messy, real-world data.

This role requires someone who can independently build prototypes, iterate rapidly, and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is an opportunity to promote and make real improvements to data processing in short term timescales rather than large corporate implementations.

  • Present findings and tell compelling stories using data to stakeholders across the business
  • Design and implement Machine Learning models or Large Language Models (LLM) to solve business problems
  • Translate business requirements into data science solutions
  • Develop rapid proofs-of-concept (PoCs) to validate ideas and drive decision-making
  • Work with messy, incomplete, and unstructured datasets to extract actionable insights
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, models, and reusable components using modern software practices with clear documentation
  • Iterate quickly on solutions based on feedback and evolving requirements
  • Create clear visualizations and dashboards to communicate results effectively

What you offer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field (Master’s/PhD is a plus, but not required)
  • 6+ years of experience in data science or applied analytics roles implementing AI to bring benefits.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Current generation LLMs and infrastructure to deploy them
    • Machine Learning algorithms and techniques
    • Statistical modelling and inference
    • Proficiency in:
      • Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)
      • Modern software development practices (version control, testing, modular code)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proven ability to:
      • Build prototypes independently and quickly
      • Bringing order to complex, messy datasets
      • Propose and translate business problems into analytical solutions
      • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., matplotlib, seaborn, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
      • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly to ensure stakeholders appreciate the benefits of AI.
      • Experience working in fast-paced, iterative environments
      • Deploying ML models in a variety of environments (locally hosted servers, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure etc)
      • Familiarity with cloud platforms or data engineering workflows
      • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through data storytelling
      • Bias for action and rapid experimentation
      • Strong ownership and independence
      • Ability to balance technical depth with business impact
      • Curiosity and willingness to work through ambiguity
      • Moving from raw data → model → business insight quickly
