Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager – LATAM (Latin America) to drive TCI’s growth in key Latin American markets. Based in Barcelona, this role focuses on expanding business opportunities by developing partnerships with key accounts in dietary supplements and skincare products. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in importing to Latin America and exporting from Europe (preferably Spain), as well as a strong network and understanding of regulatory frameworks within LATAM countries.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic sales and market entry plans for key LATAM markets.
• Identify and secure partnerships with clients spending over €300K annually.
• Manage the full business cycle from prospecting and contract negotiation to project execution and delivery.
• Leverage strong understanding of import/export logistics, documentation, and LATAM regulatory requirements to support smooth market access.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in retail, private label, MLM and e-commerce.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (project management, product design, R&D, regulatory, and marketing) to ensure project success.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and evolving LATAM regulations to identify new business opportunities.
• Represent TCI at international trade shows and business meetings in Europe and Latin America.
• Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates to senior management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Number of new LATAM key accounts secured annually.
• Value of new product orders from LATAM clients.
• Year-on-year growth in total LATAM order value.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or key account management within the dietary supplement CDMO/CMO or ingredient industry.
• Demonstrated success in managing LATAM business partnerships and accounts exceeding €300K annually.
• Proven experience in importing to LATAM, including familiarity with customs, logistics, and compliance documentation.
• Knowledge of LATAM regulatory affairs (ANVISA, COFEPRIS, INVIMA) is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a self-driven and result-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Latin America and Europe.
• Native Spanish or Portuguese speaker with fluent English.
