University degree in IT / Engineering or equivalent experience

Job Description

  • As a DevOps Engineer in our team, you will be responsible for supporting the rollout of software systems used by Swift Customers.

    You will work closely with developers, testers, and other stakeholders to analyze specifications and technical design to further identify test plans and cases.

    Your role will involve configuring and maintaining production and testing application environment, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely resolutions.

    Being a curious and proactive individual, you will automate routine tasks and contribute to improving application performance, testing and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure software applications packages on servers using standard installation procedures or scripts
• Provide technical support for various applications
• Respond to customer queries regarding software products within specified time limits
• Establish and follow standard operating procedures to resolve complex problems
• Keep abreast of new developments in technology
• Assist in evaluating and recommending upgrades of existing packages to enhance operability and support of application
• Work with multiple stakeholders to identify problems and provide resolutions.

• Participate and organize environment testing and installations/upgrades for non-prod environments.
• Carry out procedures and tests to ensure service and software standards.

• Maintain the culture of continuous learning and growth in Team.

Qualifications | Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a production operations environment

Experience in Change, Release and Problem Management processes

Experience in drafting test scenarios, execute test cases and automation.
Experience working with Linux operating systems
Experience working and managing Oracle Databases and SQL
Experience working with Agile methodologies
Proficiency with one or more scripting languages such as Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.
Knowledge of web hosting and networking concepts and awareness of protocols including HTTP, FTP, SSH, DNS, SMTP, TCP/IP etc.
Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
Good understanding of software release management processes and tools
Experience working with ITSM processes and tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.
Knowledge of container platforms and orchestration such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, etc.

Knowledge of Observability tools : ELK or equivalent to manage Application related dashboards for monitoring and troubleshooting
