Job Description

What you will do

Hi, we are Swapfiets! 👋
Welcome to the world of worry-free biking! We are providing members an all-inclusive bike subscription with free repairs and maintenance and lead the movement to more liveable cities.
At Swapfiets, we've built a business on a simple idea: give people a reliable way to get around, and take away the hassle. Over 250,000 members across Europe trust us to keep them rolling. Behind that promise is a People & Culture team that keeps our organisation running just as smoothly, and that's where you come in.
We're looking for a People & Culture Strategic Change Project Manager who can turn strategic vision into reality, navigate the needs of a diverse workforce, and smoothly guide our teams through organizational growth. 🚲 🚀

How you pedal us forward:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of P&C projects identified as change or strategic initiatives.

  • Translate business and operational needs into people and culture solutions that make a real impact.

  • Work closely with operational leads and managers to ensure practical, scalable solutions for our people.

  • Design and implement change management plans tailored specifically to a frontline-heavy workforce.

  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders across HQ and local teams to discover the best solutions and implement them successfully.

  • Monitor adoption and impact of initiatives across different countries, using this input to motivate and refine project solutions.

  • Use data (e.g., retention, engagement, performance) to inform decisions and track your success.

  • Manage stakeholders masterfully across People, Operations, and Leadership teams.

  • Identify risks in implementation across different markets and proactively address them before they arise.

  • Update, redesign, monitor and support on previously designed people workflows, solutions and processes from the People Experience team, covering topics as engagement, performance management and learning.

The gear you need:

  • Fluent in English (our company language); additional European languages are a plus.

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in P&C project management and change management, preferably in an international or scale-up environment.

  • Proven experience designing change strategies for a diverse workforce, including frontline or operational teams.

  • A strong analytical mindset: you know how to leverage data and workforce metrics to back up your strategies.

  • Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to lead workshops and align stakeholders across different countries and management levels.

  • A proactive mindset: you spot implementation risks early, take ownership, and drive solutions forward independently.

Benefits for a smooth ride:

  • A monthly salary of €4.240- €4,664.00, tailored to your experience, + 8% holiday allowance.

  • Your own Swapfiets (lend-lease) 🚲!

  • 32 vacation days for ample time off (that’s right, next to 25 vacation days you can use your 7 Swap days as you please).

  • A solid pension plan and a discount on your health insurance.

  • Mac or Windows laptop and phone allowance.

  • A challenging and rewarding role with significant responsibility and friendly colleagues.

  • Travel allowance (if you live more than 11 km away from the office, otherwise you’ll just use your Swapfiets, right.. 😎?)

  • Delicious and affordable lunch at the office prepared by our lunch heroes.

  • Access to Urban Sports Club for Business arrangement (to promote your healthy lifestyle!)

  • Learning programs development opportunities through our L&D department.

  • Engaging workshops and inspirational talks.

  • One day off per year to do voluntary work paid by Swapfiets.

  • Flexibility to work from and at the office in Amsterdam.
