A Snapshot of Your Day

The EHS Professional ensures business continuity for the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) function within the SE LA EQS MX organization in Mexico, maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The role leads EHS program management by developing, implementing, and auditing safety and environmental systems. It drives incident investigation, root cause analysis, and risk reduction initiatives to promote a safe and sustainable workplace. The position also delivers EHS training, engages with internal and external stakeholders, and supports regulatory compliance activities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs to ensure compliance with Mexican regulations, corporate standards, and EHS management systems (ISO 14001/ISO 45001).
  • Conduct EHS audits and inspections to identify compliance gaps, hazards, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Lead investigations of workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Perform and oversee risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to proactively identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs while coaching and mentoring EHS professionals and operational teams on regulatory requirements and safe work practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities (e.g., STPS and SEMARNAT), ensuring compliance and representing the organization during inspections and regulatory inquiries.
