About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
In your role as Principal Analyst - Fixed Assets:
You will support the Fixed Assets Team Lead with day-to-day operations, you will be responsible for Process Management related activities such as proposing, implementing, monitoring and reporting KPIs and internal controls.
You will work in a team of domain experts, in which your tasks include clarification of accounting issues, analysis of errors, initiation of any necessary corrections and involvement in process improvement activities or initiatives, if needed with support from the Fixed Assets Team Lead.
You will take ownership of daily Fixed Assets transactions and month-end-closing activities and ensure they are recorded in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP quality standards or any other relevant regulations and guidelines.
You will be expected to collaborate and build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders such as regional accounting hubs, local business teams, and other partners within Siemens Energy’s local and global communities.
Listen actively and continuously focused on the stakeholder requests, managing complex and uncertain operational issues, while decisively moving forward in taking ownership of decisions, together with the Fixed Assets Team Lead.
Share best practices with all relevant stakeholders.
Escalations & Process Improvement
With your relevant experience, you support the team in all Fixed Assets accounting issues and are available to the Fixed Assets Analysts as a competent contact person.
Proactive proposal or involvement in operational initiatives and exercise curiosity and creativity in suggesting improvement ideas or other value-added solutions
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Daily Operations, Controls and Process Improvements
- As a detail oriented, actively committed and involved Principal Analyst - Fixed Assets you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring stability in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities, actively providing support to Fixed Assets team members as a domain specialist.
- Querying various process related sets of data from multiple sources, through applying technical expertise to extract, compile, analyze and report those effectively.
- You assist with ad-hoc duties required by management to meet the needs of the business.
- Working independently, proactively supporting the Fixed Assets team members providing feedback for more complex issues to the Fixed Assets Team Lead.
- You will be responsible for internal controls in Fixed Assets accounting, also participating in internal and external audit process by providing timely and qualitative information and resolve queries from the auditors (where applicable for the assigned countries/legal entities).
- You execute and continuously update DTP (Desktop Procedure) documentation for existing and are involved in the creation of DTPs for new processes/variances.
- You are actively involved in finance transformation projects, handling multiple activities through effective prioritization and time management skills. You will also support projects related to Fixed Assets, Mergers and Acquisitions and ERP migration projects, among others.
- Contributing and engaging in standardizing and automating our workflows and Fixed Assets processes and our cross-functional processes throughout the company.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting & Finance Operations
- Fixed Assets accounting and IFRS and local GAAP knowledge is preferable.
- Good MS-Office skills (especially in MS-Excel).
- Good understanding of business processes in SAP.
- Placeholder for other specific tools
- Experience in transition and transformation projects is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel for knowledge transfer, training/workshops, if needed
- You are open and communicative in nature as well as fluent English skills complete your profile.
