Mechanical Engineer E‑Houses & Skids
Would you like to work in an international team on innovative E‑Houses and Skids for global data center projects? In The Hague, you will collaborate with engineers from diverse backgrounds on modular substations deployed worldwide. You will join a close‑knit and international team within the E‑Houses organization. The team consists of engineers with diverse technical and cultural backgrounds, where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and helping each other grow are key values.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work closely with a Lead Engineer throughout the entire project lifecycle: from technical design to factory testing and commissioning. You will be involved in international data center projects with high technical complexity, where speed, quality, and teamwork are essential. The combination of international exposure, technical depth, and an open team culture makes this role unique.
Daily Responsibilities
- Designing modular steel structures for E‑Houses and Skids
- Coordinating mechanical interfaces with project team members
- Reviewing technical designs and specifications
- Analyzing and resolving technical design challenges (site integration, mechanical components, HVAC calculations, structural steel analysis)
- Preparing 2D and 3D general arrangements for customer reviews
- Supporting FAT/FWT activities in factories and on project sites
- Collaborating with lead, mechanical, and electrical engineers in multidisciplinary teams
What do you bring?
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- Good command of the English language, pre if you also have the dutch language
Nice to have
- Experience with 2D and 3D design software (Inventor is a plus)
- Knowledge of welded steel structures and mechanical standards
- Basic knowledge of LV, MV, and transformers

- Salary indication (less experience, based on 40 hours): €3,700 – €5,500 + benefits budget (22.63%)
