Will you help accelerate this industrial revolution, specifically in the world of cranes and heavy machinery?
The industry faces major challenges due to rapidly changing markets, a growing world population, and an ever-increasing need for sustainability. Siemens Digital Industries' extensive hardware and software portfolio helps meet these challenges and ranges from design and production planning to service. As an innovation leader, we always think ahead and integrate cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, edge computing, industrial 5G, digital twin, autonomous material handling systems, blockchain, and 3D printing. Within this context, the Cranes team focuses on advanced automation solutions for cranes and heavy machinery worldwide.
The Trainee Program
Become our new talent with a tailor-made 1.5-year traineeship at Siemens Digital Industries (Cranes) in the Netherlands! Experience and learn about the various areas of expertise within Siemens through our traineeship program. This traineeship offers you a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of industrial automation and global commissioning, with a focus on the Cranes sector.
During this 1.5-year program, you will go through the following phases:
- The first 10 months: Focus on Automation Engineering. You will dive deep into the technical aspects of automation solutions for cranes. You will participate in the design, development, and implementation of advanced systems that improve the efficiency and safety of these machines. This can range from software development to hardware integration.
- The next 2 months: Global Commissioning.** You will have the opportunity to put your technical knowledge into practice by participating in the global commissioning of our systems. This may involve working on site, both nationally and internationally, to ensure that our solutions function optimally.
- The last 6 months: High-impact Improvement Project. You will conclude your traineeship with a strategic improvement project that will have a direct and significant impact on the Cranes division within Siemens. This project will give you the opportunity to apply your analytical and problem-solving skills and make a tangible contribution to our business processes or technologies.
There is ongoing guidance and coordination with a permanent mentor for your personal development program. This means that the assignments are chosen together with you based on your background, interests, and vision for the future. In addition, you will become familiar with other parts of the company through work visits, shadowing days, and inspiration weeks. If you are interested in cyber security, field service, or something else, such as back office, you will have the opportunity to shadow someone. This is an international department with many nationalities, and there are global projects that are managed from The Hague. We expect you to be willing to travel abroad to participate in a work experience program or to travel to another Siemens location in another country.
