RESPONSABILITIES for the Rotating Equipment he/she is responsible
- Understands the requirements for performing Rotating Equipment, owns KPIs and surveillance requirements.
- Responsible for governance processes, tools and strategies to drive performance.
- Own and contribute to Performance Standard and SECEs associated to Rotating Equipment
- Required to be part of OTA framework
- Responsible of assurance processes to sustain performance and always be in control
- Focal point for external stakeholders including technology, supply chain, maintenance, group, LL, ASI, all AIR pillars, fleet.
- Ensure continuous improvement of Rotating Equipment design and operation best practices for the existing fleet and new builds to make the fleet safer, more reliable and minimize downtimes.
- Support EMS continuous improvement
- Contribute to development and implementation of the Smart Operation Production & Maintenance Hub Roadmap to boost efficiency and uptime of the Rotating Equipment, through monitoring, surveillance and predictive technologies.
- Ensure ad-hoc technical support is provided during WIN, EXECUTE, START-UP and OPERATE phase as required
MAIN TASKS For the Production System he/she is responsible for:
- Closely collaborate with Production System Leads to support systems performance.
- Contribute to develop and update 3Y plans and budgets for the department.
- Contribute to develop and sustain a rotating equipment community with the regions.
- Establish performance baselines and map performance improvements vs initiatives deployed on each unit.
- Built up comprehensive and exhaustive System dashboard and KPIs to monitor performance, assess weakness & strengths, track key initiatives or OQs to improve system performance.
- Identify, Define and drive initiatives to improve rotating equipment performance with respect to safety, sustainability, and efficiency
- Contribute to the development of new governances or update existing ones to improve performance.
- Develop Assurance activities to sustain performance and always be in control.
- Participate to Assurance and verification activities as required (maintain protocols, Review of L1 results, participate to L2 assurance)
- Participate to PSAA and PSAU as required (maintain protocols & participate to audits)
- Develop strategies for the Rotating Equipment.
- Implement and nourish a learning culture within the department and the community
- Develop relationships with strategic suppliers.
- Guide the ASI Production & Maintenance Hub Coordinators with priorities and support the deployment of new apps and new ways of working.
- Conduct audits of system and mobilize offshore as necessary
- Participate to HAZOP and HAZID as required
- Participate to RCAs and Incident Investigations as required.
- Liaise with Ops readiness, Supply chain, Discipline leads and OEMs to ensure key OEMs Health care contracts are defined and in place prior to start-up.
- Liaise with Ops readiness, Supply chain, Discipline leads and OEMs to ensure Digital services part of key OEMs healthcare contracts (Remote Monitoring) are operational prior to start-up.
- Be an advocate for system engineer thinking in the company and liaise with other technical departments in the company on the subject.
- Job requirements
School/studies/degree:
- Rotating Equipment Engineer
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years in Oil and Gas Industry
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Operation and in relation with the system he will lead.
- Field Experience is required
- FPSO experience is required
Specific skills / expertise / product:
- Able to bring a global understanding of a Rotating Equipment
- Be an expert in Rotating Equipment
- Have experience with engineering, commissioning and operation activities.

- Good sense of ownership in the decision-making process
- High Level of Safety Awareness, proactive, good interpersonal communication and supervisory/leadership skills with strong commitment to a team culture;

By the end of 2024 the current SBM Schiedam office will move to Groot Handelsgebouw in the heart of Rotterdam city centre, one of the Netherlands’ largest multi-tenant business buildings.
