About the Sales Team

The Sales organization is responsible for driving global revenue growth, expanding market adoption, and building long-term strategic customer relationships. The team works closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success to deliver Earth Observation solutions to government and commercial customers worldwide.

About the Position

We are seeking experienced Sales Directors to lead regional commercial growth within a defined geographic territory. This is a senior, quota-carrying role with ownership of revenue, strategic account development, and execution of complex enterprise and government sales cycles.

The Sales Director will develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies aligned with global objectives, manage senior-level customer relationships, and represent Satellogic competitively within the regional geospatial ecosystem. Success in this role requires strong commercial judgment, executive-level selling capability, and deep awareness of both regional and global market dynamics.

Core Responsibilities (General)

Revenue Ownership & Strategy

  • Own and deliver regional revenue targets and pipeline objectives.
  • Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with global commercial priorities.
  • Identify high-value market segments, strategic accounts, and growth opportunities.
  • Incorporate offset requirements, local content obligations, and industrial participation considerations into deal strategy where applicable.

Strategic Customer Engagement

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with government, defense, and enterprise customers.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with long procurement timelines.
  • Navigate procurement structures involving offsets, public-private partnerships, and consortium-based bids.
  • Position Satellogic as a trusted long-term strategic partner.

Deal Leadership & Commercial Execution

  • Lead pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and commercial structuring.
  • Coordinate internally with Legal, Finance, Product, Solutions Engineering, and Operations.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline reporting, and CRM discipline.

Partnerships, Resellers & Ecosystem Development

  • Identify, develop, and manage regional partners, resellers, distributors, and system integrators.
  • Drive partner-led and co-sell opportunities aligned with regional buying preferences.
  • Understand and engage with local and regional geospatial players, including data providers, analytics firms, and platform integrators.
  • Support joint go-to-market initiatives, channel enablement, and partner performance management.

Competitive & Market Intelligence

  • Maintain strong awareness of global Earth Observation and geospatial competitors, including their regional strategies, partnerships, pricing models, and customer focus.
  • Monitor regional market trends, regulatory dynamics, and government priorities.
  • Provide structured market intelligence and competitive insights to Product and Executive Leadership to inform roadmap, positioning, and investment decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Representation

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure deal feasibility and delivery success.
  • Represent Satellogic at regional industry events, conferences, customer briefings, and government forums.

Qualifications (General)

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise, government, or complex B2B sales.
  • Proven track record of closing large, multi-year, high-value contracts.
  • Experience selling technology, data, SaaS, aerospace, geospatial, or defense-adjacent solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience navigating offsets, local content requirements, or industrial participation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of the regional geospatial ecosystem, including customers, partners, resellers, and competitors.
  • Strong executive presence with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in dynamic, high-growth environments.
  • Fluency in English; additional regional languages are a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling to government, defense, intelligence, or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with Earth Observation data, geospatial analytics, and downstream applications.
  • Experience managing reseller, distributor, or system integrator channels.
  • Prior experience in emerging-technology or scale-up environments.

Regional Specifics

North Asia (e.g., Japan, South Korea)

  • Experience navigating offsets and industrial participation requirements common in government and defense procurements.
  • Strong knowledge of local geospatial and aerospace players, trading houses, and system integrators.
  • Familiarity with global competitors active in the region and their partnership models.
  • Ability to manage relationship-driven, consensus-based sales cycles.
  • Japanese and / or Korean language proficiency strongly preferred.

Singapore / Southeast Asia

  • Experience working through regional hubs, resellers, and multinational partners.
  • Knowledge of Southeast Asian geospatial providers, analytics firms, and government stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cross-border deal structures and offset or localization considerations.
  • Strong understanding of global competitors’ regional strategies and partner ecosystems.
  • Ability to represent Satellogic as a senior commercial leader in a regional hub.

India

  • Direct experience with Indian government procurement, offsets, and localization requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Indian geospatial, defense, and infrastructure ecosystems.
  • Experience working with local system integrators, consortium bids, and public-sector partners.
  • Awareness of global competitors’ activities and partnerships in India.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset suited to market-building and expansion.

Location

This role will work remotely in region; traveling to prospective customer and partner sites as well as to Satellogic meetings.
