To strengthen our team, we’re looking for a Lead Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation (junior). In this role, you’ll contribute both technically and organisationally to multidisciplinary projects, taking ownership of the electrical discipline. The Role

As Engineer E&I (junior), you will support the senior and lead engineers Electrical. The Junior Electrical Engineer supports the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components within multidisciplinary engineering projects.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the development of basic and detailed electrical designs
  • Translate specifications and requirements into engineering deliverables
  • Support preparation of engineering packages and documentation
  • Create and update:
    • Electrical schematics (e.g. EPLAN)
    • As-built drawings
    • Technical documentation and reports
  • Maintain engineering part data in systems (e.g. Eplan + Teamcenter)
  • Analyse (part of) technical requirements and specifications
  • Support troubleshooting and resolving design or integration issues
  • Contribute to risk and feasibility assessments
  • Identify improvement opportunities in:
    • Designs
    • Engineering processes
    • Data quality
  • Contribute to standardisation and reuse of solutions

Your Profile

You are full of ambition to become a technically skilled engineer with a strong sense of ownership. You’re eager to keep growing – technically and professionally.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
  • Related work experience in maritime industry
  • Design Tools Experience with EPLAN (electrical design), AutoCAD (2D/3D drafting), and any mechanical application (SolidWorks/Solid Edge) is a an advantage
  • Corporate Platforms: Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems (Siemens TeamCenter) or similar – as SAP ERP tools.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus

Royal IHC offers you:

  • A gross monthly salary between € 4000 and € 5000 +8% holiday allowance (based on 40 hours a week)
