Posted on Dec 13, 2025

Royal IHC is looking for a Group Controller.

In this role, you will act as the primary financial business partner for both corporate disciplines—such as Real Estate, Legal & Compliance, IT, and HR—and functional disciplines like Procurement, International Production, and Project Management. Your mission: deliver actionable financial insights that empower the business and the board to make informed, strategic decisions.

This is a unique opportunity to combine financial expertise with business control responsibilities, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor across the organization. You will play a key role during reporting and budgeting cycles and operate in an international project-driven environment with diverse stakeholders, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively.

This role is designed with growth in mind, offering a clear pathway to greater responsibility and visibility as you progress from financial operations to supporting or leading key financial projects and delivering advanced financial analyses for the Board.

Within Group Control, we are spearheading major improvement initiatives to strengthen financial processes and business maturity. Following the successful implementation of our new consolidation tool in 2025, we continue to drive enhancements aligned with our ambitious goals. Upcoming projects include the rollout of project accounting within the consolidation tool and the integration of AI-driven solution, key steps toward elevating both finance and business to a more advanced level. You can be part of building the structural foundation for our future success.

The team consists of the Manager Group Control and two Senior Group Controllers.

Your Impact
  • Serve as the prime contact for financial matters across corporate and functional disciplines, ensuring alignment between business needs and financial strategies.
  • Deliver actionable insights that enable operational excellence and strategic decision-making.
  • Actively contributing to financial strategies and policy-making and translate these strategies into operational plans.
  • Support Group Control during the Reporting and budgeting cycles.
  • Act as a sparring partner to the CFO and Manager Group Control, contributing to long-term financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, consolidation, reporting, and forecasting processes for the disciplines in your scope.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations to senior management.
  • Translate financial strategies into operational plans and ensure compliance with financial reporting and legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Maintain strong relationships with budget holders of the several departments to ensure seamless integration of financial operations.

Our ideal candidate has

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, or Business Administration.
  • 4+ years of experience in finance
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide recommendations.
  • RA, RC, or Executive Master of Finance & Control (Considered a strong asset).
  • Advanced knowledge of IFRS and strong analytical skills.

Please note that only candidates with valid EU work visa will be considered as viable candidates.

Royal IHC offers you:

  • A salary between €5000,- and €7500,- gross per month, plus 8% holiday allowance.
  • Plenty of time off: 40 vacation days for a full-time position, with the option to buy or sell additional leave.
  • A profit-sharing scheme that lets you share in Royal IHC’s success.
  • Flexible working: A home office allowance of €2.45 per day + a one-time payment of €750 to set up your workspace.
  • Travel allowance of €0.21 per kilometer for the days you commute to the office.
  • A solid pension plan through PME.
  • Room to grow: Numerous internal career opportunities and a training budget + access to our IHC Academy to support your development.
  • Health and energy: Unlimited access to our in-house gym (in exchange for the sustainable employability day).
  • Royal IHC takes care of things you’d rather not worry about, but that are still important—such as disability insurance, partner pension, and the option to have additional healthcare costs reimbursed through our Social Fund.

In 2042 (when we exist 400 years) Royal IHC will be a fully sustainable company with a net-zero portfolio.

Selection process:

After your application, a CV screening will take place first. If your profile aligns sufficiently, a brief telephone intake with the Corporate Recruiter will follow. You will then proceed with a selection process consisting of two interview rounds. After a positive second interview, we will schedule a discussion about the terms of employment. We aim to complete the entire selection process within five weeks.
