We are currently hiring a new Electrical Engineer.

We excel in hydraulic systems for dredging and offshore industries. We offer a diverse range of equipment and systems to our clients. Examples are dredge pumps, autonomous operation software, spare parts for installed systems, winches, hose reels, hydraulic power systems and vessel conversion services. Stand alone products and integrated systems.

The engineering team consist of approximately 100 engineers of various disciplines. We employ for instance naval architects, mechanical engineers, system architects and lead engineers. The teams divide their time between working on projects and developing new products in close coordination with the product management function. The engineering team also functions as a breeding ground for new engineers to learn the trade of what we do after completing their studies and then grow further into different roles such as project management.

Your responsibilities:

  • Setup design calculation such as short circuit calculation, heat dissipation calculation, load balance.
  • Creating Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams and Multiline Diagrams.(Basic and detail engineering) according the regulations and scope of work.
  • Creating Cabinet layouts including BOM lists etc.
  • Take care of the correct material selection and flow to work preparation and procurement.
  • Creating documentation such as specifications or reports.
  • Communicating with your team leader, team members, other internal departments, suppliers and join in client meetings to present and explain your part of the design scope.
  • Resolves any (electrical) issues during the course of the project.
  • Assist with the FAT.
  • Local support with commissioning.

Your Profile:

To be eligible for the position of Electrical Engineer, you must have the following:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering (or any closely related engineering study).
  • At least five (5) years of relevant work experience gained in a similar position in relevant industries.
  • Experience with E-Plan 2024.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience with Siemens Drive Systems and PLC’s, IEC Ex and EMC regulations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, creative and well organized nature of behaviour.
  • Capable of taking a supervising role within your team (for checking any engineering output).
  • Excellent in communication within an international organization (main language English, understanding and speaking Dutch is an advantage).

  • A gross monthly salary between €4200,- and €5174,- +8% holiday allowance (based on 40 hours a week)

Selection process:

After your application, there will first be a short phone call with the Corporate Recruiter. Subsequently, the selection procedure consists of two rounds of interviews. The first interview will be with the manager and a direct colleague. During the second interview, a manager from a different department and someone from HR will join. If everyone is enthusiastic, a phone call follows to discuss the terms of employment.
