Job Description

As a Mining Engineer/Consultant within IHC Mining, you will be part of a professional team, that supports clients around the globe in developing their (wet) mining projects. This often means shifting the existing boundaries, developing unique (underwater) mining and slurry transport solutions.

You will be responsible for the execution of mining studies that may form part during various stages of the life cycle of a mine. Besides the development of new projects, you will also visit mine sites to help clients to improve their existing operations.

You must be able to work in a team, with other IHC Business Units, other consulting organizations and suppliers. You will provide optimum solutions and services to clients.

Job requirements:

• you have a bachelor or master degree in mining and/or mineral engineering or similar;
• you have three to five years relevant experience in mining operations or advisory trajectories;
• you have excellent communication skills in English language (speaking and writing);
• you have experience in Mine Planning and Mine design software, such as Datamine or similar packages;
• you are independent, pro-active, self-starting, team player, result driven and have a hands-on approach;
• you have the willingness to learn and grow in the mining industry;
• you have the willingness to travel for short periods.
