Keysight Device Security Lab (former Riscure) is a diverse and ambitious unit specializing in device and embedded security testing for leading international clients from the semiconductor, mobile, media, automotive and IoT industry. Our creative, and growing 170+ team collaborate with top international clients and leading companies on high-end technical projects.
About the Internship:
You will collaborate closely with the team, gaining hands-on experience and actively contributing to various technical aspects within the security domain. Some examples of the activities in practice are programming, experimentation with hardware designs, reporting, discussion in teams, presentation of results, eating in our great. You will be part of the Innovation /Knowledge and services unit/ Products unit based on the topic. You will be supported by different team members such as supervisor, domain owners, analysts, innovators, developers etc. There is flexibility offered with internship- can be 3 months (minimum) or even a thesis (6 months) with extension if need be.
Types of Internships
- Technical research: you would work on a research topic that focuses on answering a small set of questions. This usually entails research and development. The topic could be related to FI, SCA, embedded security, system security, software or cross-domain.
- Development: If you have a zeal to make something a.k.a working in an agile fashion and a load of coding, you can be part of the development team.

Responsibilities
- Security Research: Depending on the role, tasks may involve vulnerability analysis through methods like reverse engineering, fuzzing, or hardware attacks (e.g., fault injection or side-channel analysis). Interns may also work on penetration testing and securing critical components, such as those in mobile devices.
- You will be responsible for creating technical documentation, configuring testing environments, and maintaining repositories for effective communication and issue tracking.
- Communication and collaboration:
- Interns collaborate with mentors and teams, participate in weekly discussions
- deliver progress updates
- Final Internal presentation of the internship work
- Writing a white paper / article / blog
- Skill Development: Interns gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies and work on impactful projects that contribute to product security in areas like embedded systems, mobile devices, and IoT
Qualifications

You can convey information in a clear and accurate manner and can work both independently and in a team. You are results oriented and keep the goals in mind while taking practical steps to achieve them.
Summary: Developing GPU code for brute forcing signatures to be used for FI attacks on SLH-DSA
General requirements:
- Proficiency in English language, both written and spoken
- Availability for a minimum of 3 months, working at least 4 days per week
- You are enrolled as a Bachelor/Master/PhD student
- Experience in high performance coding/development
- Affinity with FI
- Hands on experience with Fault Injection is a plus
- Good command of English Language (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication skills
