We are looking for a Configuration & Data Manager to work at ESA’s ESTEC premises in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, supporting the Commercialisation and Industry Partnership (CIP) Directorate. The Directorate plays a key role in fostering innovation and strengthening partnerships across the European space sector.
You will contribute to Configuration and Data Management activities across a portfolio of programmes and projects, ensuring project information, documentation and configuration baselines are effectively managed and controlled.
About the client and location
ESA’s Commercialisation and Industry Partnership (CIP) Directorate supports initiatives that help transform innovative space technologies into commercial opportunities while strengthening collaboration with industry across Europe. To support the effective delivery of these programmes and projects, we are looking for a Configuration & Data Manager to provide configuration control, documentation management and information management support across a diverse portfolio of ESA activities.
Tasks and activities
The scope of work will include:
- Providing Configuration and Data Management support across ESA programmes and projects.
- Maintaining project documentation, baselines, configuration items and records.
- Supporting change control processes, reviews and Configuration Control Boards.
- Managing project information and documentation within approved tools and systems.
- Coordinating Configuration and Documentation Management activities with project stakeholders.
- Supporting audits, compliance activities and documentation reviews.
- Developing and maintaining Configuration and Documentation Management plans and processes.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of CADM tools, procedures and best practices.
Skills and experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Configuration Management, Data Management, Documentation Management, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with configuration control, document management and information management processes.
- Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
- Solution-oriented mindset, with strong customer-focused communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
