- Developing robust APIs and service interfaces for platform integration, data management, and system interoperability.
- Contributing to backend architecture, service decomposition, data modelling, and technical design.
- Implementing secure and maintainable data-management capabilities, including access control, validation, auditability, and traceability where required.
- Integrating backend services with internal platforms, cloud infrastructure, private-cloud environments, and external systems.
- Supporting cloud-native deployment approaches, including containerised services, configuration management, logging, monitoring, and operational readiness.
- Working with relational databases and persistence technologies to manage platform and application data.
- Implementing asynchronous processing, messaging, or queue-based integrations where appropriate.
- Contributing to secure software development practices, including authentication, authorisation, secrets handling, input validation, and secure API design.
- Collaborating with architects, DevOps/platform engineers, and cyber-security specialists to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and deployable in different environments.
- Participating in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning, estimation, and troubleshooting.
- Producing clear technical documentation for APIs, data models, integrations, deployment assumptions, and implementation decisions.
- Taking ownership of backend implementation topics and contribute to the continuous improvement of the software platform.
