IT / OT Infrastructure Specialist

At Petrogas E&P Netherlands, you’ll help secure and optimize the systems that keep energy operations running safely and efficiently.

Your role

As an IT / OT Infrastructure Specialist, you will ensure secure, resilient and high-performing infrastructure across offshore environments within a Fortinet-standardized landscape.

• Design, implement and maintain IT/OT infrastructure

• Manage industrial network segmentation and offshore communications

• Configure and manage Fortinet solutions (firewalls, VPNs, security policies)

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis

• Strengthen OT cybersecurity controls (remote access, monitoring, logging)

• Drive infrastructure upgrades and standardization initiatives

• Collaborate with Operations, Security and external vendors

• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 62443 and NIS2

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or similar

• 3–6 years of experience in infrastructure/network engineering

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs

• Hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies (required)

• Understanding of OT security concepts (zones & conduits, defense-in-depth)

• Experience with industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC, DNP3 is a plus)

• Strong troubleshooting mindset

• Comfortable working in a 24/7 industrial environment

• Fluent in Dutch and English
