Role

In your role as a sharp, hands-on Project Manager, you will coordinate complex technical projects, align cross-functional teams, and help us scale efficiently while navigating the challenges of deep-tech innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of quantum R&D projects.
  • Develop project timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (physics, hardware, software, business) to ensure alignment and timely execution.
  • Manage relationships with research institutions, industry partners, and/or government agencies.
  • Oversee grant-funded projects (e.g. EIC, Horizon Europe, national R&D programs), ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Monitor risks, dependencies, and priorities in a fast-changing tech landscape.
  • Prepare and present project updates to leadership, investors, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to funding applications, IP strategy discussions.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years experience in project or program management, ideally in deep tech, hardware, or scientific R&D.
  • Strong understanding of the innovation lifecycle (from TRL 1–9).
  • Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary, technical teams.
  • Familiarity with agile and classical PM methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Gantt, OKRs).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English required).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in physics, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, flexible startup setting.
  • Extra: Experience in quantum computing, cryogenics, or quantum hardware.
  • Extra: Familiarity with EU research funding mechanisms (e.g., EIC, ERC).
  • Extra: Startup or venture-backed company experience.
  • Extra: Experience managing lab-based or hardware R&D projects.
