Quality Control Officer (Mandarin Chinese speaking)
Quality Assurance
We are supporting one of our key clients, a leading international technology company in the Hague area, in finding a Quality Control Officer to join their administrative support team.
This is a broad operational quality and compliance role spanning every business unit in the office. You will monitor and improve administrative processes, own a significant part of the annual budgeting and compliance cycle, and act as backup to the Team Lead. The environment is bilingual, so professional fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English is required.
Work Quality Control
- Monitor and evaluate operational quality across all business units (asset management, SIM card administration, fleet, taxi, housing allowance, internal communications, event management, canteen and facility operations)
- Provide guidance and coordinate cross-functional resources to resolve operational issues
- Run onboarding training for new employees and on-the-job coaching for business unit owners
- Develop the annual administrative budget (typically finalised each November) and maintain cost-allocation schedules across multiple allocation sheets
- Monitor monthly budget execution, review purchase requisitions (PR) and purchase orders (PO), and validate monthly and quarterly reports
Compliance Management
- Conduct quarterly internal control inspections, semi-annual PR assessments, and annual internal control reporting (SACA)
- Maintain GDPR and data-protection compliance and carry out ad hoc compliance testing
- Support ISO and EHS activities, and deliver CSRD-related training and guidance to business owners (programme running to 2028)
- Review and update business policies on a rolling basis (currently fleet management, housing allowance, and canteen regulations)
Project Management and Team Lead Backup
- Support change management projects including canteen operations, office space reallocation, and large corporate events
- Conduct interviews and support candidate selection alongside the Team Lead
- Act as backup for the Team Lead during periods of leave and on ad hoc operational issues
- Support the team in meeting KPI targets and the annual employee satisfaction survey
Essential Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- At least 5 years of experience in administration, operations, compliance, quality, or business support
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured manner
- Professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English
