About the Job
The main responsibilities are:
Business Strategy / Strategic Vision
Support Sales in defining a strategy by client, and challenging consistency of Trade spend allocation and action plan in line with strategy. Optimize return on investment of promotion, trade terms and other topline activation levers alongside topline teams. A real business challenger.
Impact on Business Results
The sr sales controller is expected to develop strong business partnering relationships with Sales team and have strong influence on allocation of resources across channels, customers and brands. The size of the total investments (GS to NS) is significant and needs to be supported by reliable and meaningful analysis.
Process & Projects
BI-impulse, TT-harmonization, Customer master data, SAP.
Managerial Complexity
Managing large budget across different channels; retail, e-com. Direct interactions with topline directors (weekly).
The objectives of the role are:
• Serve as a business partner to Sales counterparts, collaborating on key business initiatives and providing a financial perspective
• Prepare together with Sales forecast including risks & opportunities
• Perform month-end activities, fulfill group and internal reporting requirements and make sure everything is properly reflected in the systems, ensuring compliance with the Danone accounting requirements and internal control rules
• Key contributor of long term planning for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Plan, working closely with cross-functional business partners, Finance leadership and the BU General Manager
• Create quantitative models that provide timely financial insights to support business leaders in sales decisions.
• Continuously work to streamline and automate processes

About You
To succeed in this role, you fulfil the following:
- You are an experienced financial professional who has a natural drive to improve business performance and have a genuine passion for what we do.
- Thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments where building relationships, collaborating cross-functionally and being a team player is crucial.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented but also always able to see the bigger picture.
- Proactive with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to build strong relationships.
- Relevant professional experience in finance/controlling (preferable FMCG)
- Resilience and agility and able to adapt quickly to fast changing environment.
