The position

In this key role, you will provide proactive and professional support to the General Manager (GM) and the Leadership Team (LT), ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and helping them deliver on strategic priorities. Your ability to stay organized, anticipate needs, and manage multiple stakeholders will make you an invaluable part of the business. As the central point of coordination, you’ll not only handle agendas, communication, and meetings, but also contribute to creating a productive, positive work environment.

Please be informed that our current office is located in Alphen aan den Rijn, but from July the new office will be in Amsterdam.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating the GM’s and Leadership Team’s agendas, meetings, and diary systems
  • Acting as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling queries and communication on behalf of the GM
  • Preparing high-quality presentations, letters, reports, and meeting materials
  • Organizing and executing Leadership Team meetings and other key GM Office processes, including minutes and follow-ups
  • Ensuring the GM and LT are kept on track with deadlines, priorities, and upcoming events

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience:

  • Completed higher professional education
  • Demonstrated success in supporting a General Manager and Leadership Team within a complex and fast-paced business environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, with the ability to prepare high-quality presentations and documents
  • Fluent in spoken and written Dutch and English language

About the department

The Assistant will report directly to the General Manager of The Netherlands and collaborate closely with the Leadership Team, comprised of eight senior directors and one Executive Assistant. This dynamic supports effective communication and alignment across strategic initiatives within the newly established region.

The Assistant will engage with other regional Assistants, fostering collaboration and best practices among peers. By working within this structure, the Assistant will play a pivotal role in driving the office's professionalization and ensuring that the team operates smoothly in a rapidly evolving environment.
