Job Description:

What will you do?

As Business Owner within the central Data & Analytics department, you play a key role in translating the data strategy into reliable execution. Your focus is not on content ownership of data products, but on program management, delivery orchestration, and growing the maturity of the (IT) delivery capability across Data & Analytics and IT teams. You are hands-on, help the teams to resolve their impediments and drive commitments and results.

You work closely with the Chief Data Officer (CDO), the full CTO Management Team of which the CDO is part, the other domain BO’s and Product Owners in both Data and IT to ensure initiatives are delivered in a predictable, transparent, and value‑driven manner. A key part of the role is owning and steering the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process and enabling effective portfolio‑level decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities:

On Delivery & Results Ownership

  • Steer end‑to‑end execution of the Data & Analytics strategy with a strong bias for delivery, commitments, and outcomes
  • Actively remove impediments for teams by intervening where delivery is at risk (scope, dependencies, resources, decision deadlocks)
  • Drive predictable delivery through strong programme management, realistic planning, and disciplined follow‑up
  • Hold teams accountable for commitments, milestones, and delivery quality

Program & Portfolio Management Excellence

  • Own and orchestrate cross‑team, cross‑domain delivery across Data & Analytics and IT
  • Lead the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process end‑to‑end for D&A.

Strategic Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Act as a trusted, reliable partner to the CDO in driving execution and decision‑making
  • Communicate clearly and credibly at operational, tactical, and executive level
  • Proactively manage expectations, dependencies, and escalation paths
  • Translate complex delivery realities into clear, actionable insights for Senior Management.

Ability to Explain, Influence & Convince

  • Explain delivery choices, constraints, and trade‑offs in a clear, structured, fact‑based way
  • Convince stakeholders through strong reasoning, data‑driven arguments and clear articulation of value and risk
  • Facilitate alignment between business, data, and IT where priorities or perspectives differ
  • Drive decisions when consensus is difficult, while maintaining trust
  • Obtain quarterly confirmation of the required D&A IT change budget for the following quarter. Drive and monitor effective utilization within budget on a quarterly basis

Your team

You will be part of the central Data & Analytics department, which enables the business to deliver high‑quality data products and insights. The department plays a key role in NIBC’s digital transformation by providing scalable data capabilities and effective execution of the data strategy. You work closely with Product Owners, data teams, IT teams, and senior leadership across the organization. Furthermore you will be part of the MT Data consisting of 5 people in total.

What do you bring?

  • 10+ years of experience in program management, portfolio management, or senior product / delivery roles in a complex IT or data‑driven environment;
  • Experience with Agile, product‑centric and portfolio‑level steering in multi‑team environments;
  • Solid understanding of data, analytics, and IT landscapes and how delivery flows across teams and domains;
  • Cloud & Data Platforms: Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), Power BI, data lakes, and modern data architectures;
  • Proven ability to operate at senior management level and connect strategy with execution across multiple stakeholders;
  • Experience with finance or banking-specific regulations and compliance is preferred.
