About the job:

Based in The Hague, you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join Assurance Solutions Branch (ASB), which supports NATO and its mission partners with highly secured integration platforms, facilitating efficient collaboration and advanced troubleshooting capabilities.

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Principal Technician (Platform) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

• Administer integration and test platforms, supporting capability upgrades and site deployments.

• Design, verify, document, and amend software configurations using agreed standards and tools.

• Troubleshoot Microsoft OS-related issues and PowerShell-based configurations.

• Monitor and ensure performance of IT infrastructure and apply automation tools where applicable.

• Contribute to hardware installation, software systems maintenance, and vulnerability resolution.

• Conduct risk assessments and support higher-grade roles, including briefing and managing technical teams.

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years of post-related experience or secondary education with 5 years of post-related experience.

• Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server, WSUS, MECM, Active Directory, ADFS, and PowerShell.

• Background in provisioning IaaS/PaaS across hybrid cloud environments, with infrastructure automation expertise.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and versioning platforms like GitLab or GitHub.

• Skills in troubleshooting hardware/software systems effectively and collaboratively.

• Desirable qualifications such as Kubernetes/OpenShift, VMware, or Azure/AWS Certifications.

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
