This job offers you a monthly salary between €5.330 and €7.615, depending on your experience. This is based on a 36-hour work week, excluding a 13th month and holiday allowance.
What you’re going to do
The field of sustainability is developing in an accelerating pace, influenced by evolving stakeholder expectations, changing customer demands and preferences and an increasing amount of complex, fast changing EU-regulations, changing risks and opportunities. To make sure we address all requirements and adequately identify risks and opportunities for our businesses, NN Group has launched a Task Force Sustainability in Business (TFSB).
As Project manager you directly support the Head of the Task Force Sustainability in Business (TFSB). You will take responsibility for central programme deliverables (for instance: milestone planning and tracking; decision-making documents for management; monitoring of key risks, issues and dependencies; insight in project financials and business cases. You will collaborate with a dedicated team consisting of a PMO, Junior Project Manager and subject matter experts in support of the sustainability reporting workstream.
You will be responsible for your own workstream to setup and deliver. Main characteristic of the workstreams is that they are Cross Business Unit and require close collaboration with the Corporate Citizenship team that consists of i.a. sustainability reporting experts.
You align the different projects within this workstream which is necessary to realize the successful implementation of the strategic initiative(s). You are able to identify any correlations between the initiatives within your workstream, and you think in a big(ger) picture. You’re excellent in planning but you know that success comes from execution.
Your responsibilities
- Be the driver of the Strategic execution with communication and leadership skills and a hands-on approach and manage the change agenda of your workstreams and ensure projects are delivering on the planned objectives and value
- Drive the implementation of Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) reporting requirements, focusing on strategic and qualitative aspects in support of Corporate Citizenship. This includes a strong collaboration with Group Finance who are driving the quantitative aspect of the sustainability reporting
- Solicits input and gains an understanding of the business issues and opportunities from each business unit, integrating them into the development of the workstream. Also, needs to establish and maintain strategic partnerships with the different internal stakeholders and organize events in order to prioritize the activities and align roadmaps
- Ensure timely reporting on synergies, progress and KPI’s of strategic projects/initiatives and ensure project teams from initiating projects up to and including the implementation of solutions according to agreed procedures and processes and with predictable results
- Performs regular project risk assessments by identifying future areas of major risk and providing advice on potential corrective actions to mitigate these risks and budget management- coordinate and manage the budgets for the workstream and central funded projects/initiatives
Who you will work with
You will be part of the TFSB Programme Management Office and part of a large Sustainability Transformation Programme team. You will work closely with the Corporate Citizenship team which defines the overall direction on sustainability and advises the Management Board and Business Units. The Taskforce works closely with the different businesses of NN Group (Netherlands and International) and other Group functions to set the agenda, steer and advise on the embedding of sustainability aspects in strategy, policies and business processes within NN.
Corporate Citizenship is part of the Corporate Relations (CR) department, located at the international head office in The Hague. CR is divided into specific specialist teams, based on the type of communications, or stakeholder group, for which each division is responsible.

We prefer candidates with the following experience and skill sets:
- Bachelor/master degree plus a minimum of 7 years of experience within a large corporate preferably financial industry, and relevant experience as Project manager
- Knowledge and experience in the field of insurance/investment and/or within the field of sustainability
- Fluent in both Dutch and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experienced in managing complex projects with multidisciplinary teams , preferably of a regulatory / reporting nature
- Excellent financial skills: the ability to analyse and structure information with strong content focus, deep understanding of the strategy, initiatives and its business cases
