Our Governance teams manage a critical and intricate domain that is fundamental to our customers' success. This involves ensuring robust entitlements, precise usage metering, secure user access, reliable identity management and enterprise tenant management. We empower customers with clear visibility into their platform usage and the tools to act decisively.
We're looking for leaders who can shape our future. If you have a compelling vision for how the team and Mendix should evolve in this domain, we are eager to hear your ideas.
While our teams operate with a high degree of autonomy, you’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative network. You'll need to work closely with other teams across Mendix, especially since many Governance topics inherently span multiple teams and services across the platform.
We are strong advocates of our own technology; therefore, a keen interest in the Mendix low-code stack is essential.
We are a hybrid company and expect you to join the office one to two days a week. More is never a problem.
You’ll drive digital innovation for our customers by:
- Ensuring your critical part of the platform operates flawlessly and securely, as it underpins our customers' mission-critical systems.
- Solving complex technical challenges within the Governance domain with innovative, scalable solutions, leveraging your expertise to make a tangible impact on our platform's architecture and reliability. Think at scale.
- Championing a relentless focus on customer success, translating their needs into robust platform capabilities.
- Upholding an uncompromising standard of quality in everything you deliver.
We’re looking for you if:
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, primarily with Java. Experience with Go or Python is a significant plus.
- A proven track record of designing and building reliable, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
- A strong 'you build it, you run it' ownership mindset, taking full responsibility for your code from development to production.
- The ability to lead by technical example, mentoring peers and influencing architectural decisions.
- A home address within a reasonable commute time from our Rotterdam office, or a willingness to relocate to the Netherlands.
- A commitment to working with the Mendix low-code application development suite, dedicating approximately 20% of your time to this domain.
- A proactive approach to navigating ambiguity and embracing complex challenges, balancing experimental innovation with pragmatic delivery.
- The discernment to select the optimal tools and languages for the problem at hand. Our current stack includes Java, Python, and Go.
- Experience with Cloud providers like AWS and working knowledge of Kubernetes/Docker, or a strong eagerness to learn and master these technologies.
