Senior HSE Engineer

Responsible for delivering technical safety and loss prevention activities for offshore energy projects, including HVDC and FPSO developments, combining analytical risk assessment and design-based mitigation expertise.

The Senior HSE Engineer applies in-depth knowledge, experience, and best practices in the area of HSE Engineering. They are responsible for solving complex HSE Engineering problems and work independently with minimal guidance.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience in technical safety or loss prevention.
- Experience in technical safety and/or loss prevention within offshore or energy projects.
- Proven capability in process safety studies and/or mitigation design.
- Experience in HVDC or FPSO preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Define scope and methodology through the Safety Engineering Basis.
- Perform and coordinate studies including HAZID/HAZOP, Fire and Explosion Analysis, SECE identification, DAL, and ALARP.
- Apply loss prevention design measures such as fire protection, detection, hazardous area classification, and layout safety.
- Integrate study outcomes into engineering deliverables and practical design solutions.
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams and support risk registers and study close-out.
- Contribute to environmental assessments (GHG and energy efficiency).
