How you create meaningful change in healthcare

As a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll be part of the team developing our orthosis and scanner portfolio. Together with engineers, software developers and external partners, you’ll work on products that directly impact people’s lives. You’ll have access to cutting-edge 3D technology and the freedom to rapidly prototype, test, and bring ideas into production.

You switch easily between concept development, engineering, and project leadership. You’re both strategic and hands-on: you see the big picture, know how to translate goals into projects, and know how to get things off the ground. You’ll work closely with Vincent, Tom, Daan, and Martijn and you have the potential to lead the team in the future.

What you’ll be doing

• Design medical products from start to finish: from initial idea to production ready solution

• Think conceptually, prototype, test, and improve based on user insights

• Take ownership of projects, guiding both team members and external partners

• Research materials and suppliers and negotiate production deals

• Apply your knowledge of 3D printing, soft goods, silicones, and composites

• Translate company-wide OKRs into clear, actionable project plans

• Turn user needs into smart, durable, and beautifully designed products

• Work with tools such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion360 or equivalent CAD software

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a design engineer who wants more than just designing. Someone who:

• Has at least 3 years of experience in a design engineering role with a broad portfolio

• Combines conceptual thinking with technical execution and loves making ideas real

• Understands user needs and designs products that truly fit their lives

• Can independently lead and execute projects — from vision to implementation

• Thrives in collaboration but knows how to navigate independently when needed

• Is curious, eager to learn, and not afraid to get hands-on

• Has experience with material selection and manufacturing — 3D printing is a strong plus

• Speaks fluent English — Dutch is a bonus

• Has a strong eye for design aesthetics
