Job Overview:

The Systems Engineer applies their conceptual knowledge of Systems (Eng) and, with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward Systems (Eng) problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Systems Engineer understands critical business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.

The Systems Engineer applies existing knowledge and experience in the Systems (Eng) discipline to support routine assignments. They will use best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve products or services in the Systems (Eng) discipline.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • 1-3 years of technical experience within large complex engineering projects
  • Awareness of Requirements Management Systems Engineering (RMSE) Principles and processes (ISO15288) is beneficial
  • Strong problem-solving skills are beneficial
  • Strong ability using and learning to use digital tools (e.g., MS Office)
  • Strong soft skills (collaborative, interpersonal, motivation etc.) to engage with stakeholders at all levels in a global project
  • Excellent command of English
  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Relatics, ARAS) is valued

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to Understand and allocate Employer Requirements (ER), Systems, Activities and Deliverables
  • Maintain the ER database in terms of Ownerships, Verification Activities and Change Management status
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with the full Project Team (ranging from Leads to RMSE Focal Points of all technical disciplines)
  • Proactive and organized to lead and implement project-wide work instructions, progress meetings and education sessions
  • Be able to track and report on key project metrics (e.g., using MS PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Understand and apply core Requirements Management Systems Engineering (RMSE) concepts
  • Support the project team with tool-related queries within the RMSE database (e.g., Relatics, ARAS)
