For our office located in the vibrant heart of Rotterdam, we are looking for an Intermodal Specialist, focused on FCL transports within Sea Logistics.
In this role, you will arrange the transports of FCL shipments for our customers. Through your efforts, the containers are planned to the correct loading/unloading location at the agreed date/time. Furthermore you will be assisting the FCL Teams with operational actions like planning deliveries/transportation options (barge/trail/road) and quotations for special lanes/customers.
You will collaborate with your colleagues internal (export/import/customs) that need to give you the correct details in order to move the containers to and from the port. You will be in close contact with our sub-contractors of FCL transports for our valued customers.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to leverage your exceptional communicative, organizational, and analytical skills. How you create impact
- Maintaining frequent contact with all internal departments involved, to retrieve the right information in order to give correct instructions towards subcontractors.
- Liaising with subcontractors, including with our internal stakeholders, to arrange the FCL Sea transport for customers and deliver status updates frequently.
- Keeping track of planning and daily operations, fixing potential operational bottlenecks along the way.
- Collect necessary data for correct invoicing (towards customer), as well registering it in our systems.
- Checking on accuracy of invoices from subcontractors.
What we would like you to bring
- MBO think- and worklevel is present.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in Logistics (FCL transport experience is considered a plus).
- Commercial mindset, service oriented in combination with good communication skills are present.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written. Dutch is big plus as additional language skill, fluently.
- Available for 40u per week, full time job.
