Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, the Calibration & Repair Technician (f/m/d) is an on‑site member of our Delft Service Team, working in our calibration laboratory in Delft, NL. You will focus on the calibration of OTT HydroMet Pyranometers and support related logistics and administrative steps to ensure smooth, high‑quality service delivery.
In this hands‑on role, you’ll collaborate closely with experienced colleagues and learn directly from R&D. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values curiosity, teamwork, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to grow your technical skills and advance your career within OTT HydroMet and the wider Veralto organization.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Responding to customer technical questions with confidence and clarity — especially regarding solar radiometers and trackers
Working closely with R\&D and Operations by capturing and sharing customer insights that help drive product improvements
Inspecting instruments, preparing detailed reports, and creating cost estimates
Owning the full service workflow: administration, work orders, materials, and customer communication
Performing troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, optical, and mechanical components following established procedures
Executing precise calibrations in our Delft calibration lab
Preparing completed instruments and coordinating with logistics to ensure smooth delivery to customers
Every day brings variety — hands‑on work, technical problem solving, and meaningful collaboration with experts across the business.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Education in electronics, telecommunication technologies, or equivalent practical experience
Ability to confidently read and understand technical drawings and documentation
Experience with soldering, multimeters, and repair tools — a strong plus
Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office
Excellent English skills are mandatory and conversational Dutch is a plus

De rol
Als Calibration & Repair Technician maak je deel uit van het Service Team in Delft. Je werkt in ons kalibratielab en richt je op de kalibratie en reparatie van OTT HydroMet‑pyranometers. Daarnaast draag je zorg voor de bijbehorende administratieve en logistieke processen, zodat klanten kunnen rekenen op service van topkwaliteit.
Je werkt nauw samen met ervaren collega’s, R\&D en Operations — ideaal als je wilt leren, verdiepen en groeien in een technische rol die nooit saai is.
Een typische werkdag?
Klantvragen beantwoorden over zonnestralingsmeters en trackers — helder, rustig en deskundig
Klantinformatie verzamelen en delen met R\&D en Operations om producten verder te verbeteren
Instrumenten beoordelen, rapporten opstellen en kosteninschattingen maken
Het volledige serviceproces beheren: administratie, werkorders, materialen en klantcontact
Storingen analyseren en reparaties uitvoeren aan elektrische, optische en mechanische onderdelen
Nauwkeurige kalibraties uitvoeren in het lab
Gerepareerde instrumenten klaarzetten voor verzending en afstemmen met logistiek
Elke dag brengt iets anders: praktisch werk, technische puzzels en samenwerking met experts uit verschillende teams.
Wat breng je mee?
Een MBO opleiding in electronica, telecommunicatietechniek of gelijkwaardige praktijkervaring
Je kunt technische tekeningen en documentatie zelfstandig lezen en begrijpen
Ervaring met solderen, multimeters en reparatiegereedschap (pré)
Goede beheersing van Microsoft Office
Uitstekende beheersing van het Engels en goede spreekvaardigheid in het Nederlands
