(Graduate) Internship - Civil Engineering - Rail Department
As a (graduate) intern at the Rail department of Iv-Infra, you will work on the most prominent and challenging projects. The projects vary from station projects and upper building renovations to the maintenance of civil engineering works and new construction of rail-related structures such as tunnels, bridges and viaducts. An example is the railway expansion between Schiphol and Lelystad.
As an intern, you will gain experience with various activities such as performing recordings, drafting implementation designs, drawing up contracts and preparing cost estimates. Consulting and actively aligning input with the contractor is thereby of great importance. You will also be involved in client contact to help you familiarise yourself with all facets of the profession. A graduate internship at the Rail department is also possible. You can determine a suitable assignment together with Sector Head Joey Kortlever. Following graduation, there is the possibility to start work as a junior work planner immediately. What do we expect of you?
We are looking for an enthusiastic higher vocational (HBO) Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering student interested in the rail sector. You must have good communication skills (both spoken and written), be proactive, and have an excellent command of the Dutch language. We consider your enterprising spirit and curiosity about new things equally important as your technical knowledge and creativity. You keep yourself up to date with the latest developments and are eager to provide input into how we, as a company, can participate herein. This internship will offer you the opportunity to develop your talents broadly.
