The Communications and Marketing Department oversees the IB brand and how the organization communicates this to all key stakeholders, both internally and externally. Sitting within the office of the Business Development, we are responsible for all internal and external branding, marketing and communications for the IB. Our aim is to increases awareness, engage meaningfully with our schools and students and promote the mission while safeguarding our reputation as a world leader in International Education.


The Marketing Associate Manager for International Baccalaureate is responsible in supporting the regional and global marketing efforts of the IB through the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns. From overseeing long-term digital advertising campaigns to short-term marketing solutions, the Marketing Associate Manager is a versatile marketing planner and executor who works energetically and collaboratively to meet the organization’s growth objectives and supports broader global brand awareness goals. Reporting to the Global Senior Manager of Marketing the Marketing Associate Manager stays informed about the industry or marketing trends, and the competitive landscape, while overseeing and supporting marketing communications and advertising plans.


• Master's degree with emphasis in marketing or business
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in marketing and/or digital advertising
• Proven track record of success in meeting organizational growth objectives
• Experience in traditional and digital marketing, content marketing and paid social media marketing
• International marketing experience a plus
• Education or IB experience a plus

• Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
• Expertise with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools i.e. Pardot and Salesforce experience a plus
• Knowledge of digital channels such as search engines, social media, email, and other websites to connect with current and prospective customers
• Knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google Adwords
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Excellent project management skills.

  • Hands-on experience in building landing pages, forms, and email campaigns using marketing automation platforms.
  • Expertise with content management systems (CMS) , HTML, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools i.e. Pardot and Salesforce experience a plus.

1. Lead Generation & Sales Enablement
• Building of the online drip marketing programs and campaigns designed to nurture pipeline prospects into sales-qualified leads or customer pipeline for new products. (hands-on)
• Collaborate with regional teams to develop and manage digital prospecting and remarketing campaigns
• Work closely with regional leads to create and execute a strong performance marketing strategy and execution plan
• Create effective, compelling positioning, messaging, and sales tools (market-facing webinars, whitepapers, etc.) that are understood and used by the regional sales force to highlight benefits of IB products to customers.
• Develop and deliver appropriate event and field sales enablement tools, including on-site event/conference support.
• Establish effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure that IB products services are implemented through sales enablement and marketing demand generation programs.
• Monitor and facilitate lead funnel management and report programme results to key internal stakeholders.
• Drive top of the funnel awareness campaigns.

2. Analysis, Reporting and Database Management
• Prepares marketing reports by collecting, tracking, and analyzing performance matrix for marketing projects and campaigns
• Responsible for the database and list management to deliver effective marketing campaigns - awareness, lead generation, nurturing, cross-selling, retargeting.
• Work closely with regional leads to share funnel conversion improvement ideas, feedback & present results.
• Identify the multiple touchpoints of a prospecting target audience, analyse the decision and buying cycle, and optimise the marketing funnel to improve conversion rates.
• Maintain regional budget and expense tracker

3. Market Research & Competitive Intelligence
• Support in the research to understand the International educational space, target audiences, competitive markets and trends, and their implications for the regional marketing plans and campaigns

• Work with external agencies and internal stakeholders to identify key data points to aid the understanding of the IB’s customers
• Initiate and/or support the evaluation and adjustment of the marketing tactics to respond to changing, competitive markets

4. Communications
• Collaborate with agency partners as needed along with external comms team
• Support and collaborate with the regional teams and key stakeholders i.e. Development, Conferences, IB World Schools, Professional Development to drive growth and retention.
