The Authorization Associate Manager provides consultation internally and externally with a focus on excellent customer service to schools. The Authorization Associate Manager is the first point of contact for schools and manages the relationship with schools throughout the authorization process. In doing so they develop, plan and manage the schools journey by counselling them through authorization in order to help schools move from candidacy to program implementation/IB World School status. Internally, the Authorization Associate Manager works collaboratively with the Development, IB World Schools, School Delivery, IBEN, PS and other relevant departments in order to brief internal stakeholders on customer needs and ensuring schools receive efficient and effective support based on their needs.

Internally, the Authorization Associate Manager works collaboratively with the Development, IB World Schools, School Delivery, IBEN, PS and other relevant departments in order to brief internal stakeholders on customer needs and ensuring schools receive efficient and effective support based on their needs.
- Bachelor’s degree with more than 5 years’ experience. (A Master’s degree is preferred)
- Previous IB programme experience as educator, coordinator, etc.
- Familiarity with the key features of all four IB programmes and in depth knowledge of at least one.
- Knowledge and understanding of the IB’s authorization process and the systems used.
- Familiarity with typical education systems and practices in public, private and international school systems.
- Impeccable written and oral communication skills in English and French. Fluency in Spanish and/or Arabic preferred.
- Experience in working with not-for-profit entities.
- Willingness to work flexibly and to travel as required
- Responsible for a portfolio of schools. Different aspects of a school will determine the portfolio, such as group of pertinence, region, needs, and complexity.
- Develops an annual plan for an assigned school portfolio.
- Collaborates with peers to communicate school needs within IB to better serve external stakeholders
- Influences managers and heads within the IB to improve service to stakeholders
- Collaborates with peers to promote change in a dynamic multicultural, cross functional environment, internally and externally.
- Signals improvement points regarding existing services and programs and, is responsible for a fully prepared plan in this respect and for the realization of this plan
- Contributes to the analysis of problems by bringing forward the interests of the multiplicity of stakeholders involved.
- Contributes to the solution of problems by proposing ideas both internally and externally.
- Works independently most of the time, taking into account broad practices and procedures
