Product Engineer

At Hyva, you’ll help shape the next generation of hydraulic components used worldwide. As a Product Engineer in our Product Development team, you’ll work on real engineering challenges—from concept to validation—while collaborating with colleagues across multiple countries.
This is a hands-on role where your ideas matter, your analysis drives decisions, and your work directly impacts the performance and reliability of our products. You will report to the team leader of the EMEA Engineering team.
Key responsibilities
Define product requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions
Explore and evaluate new concepts by benchmarking market solutions
Design, analyze, and improve hydraulic components using tools like CAD and FEM
Develop and validate designs through testing and real-world evaluation
Improve product safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency
Work closely with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to solve technical challenges
Perform feasibility studies to ensure robust, scalable product designs
Contribute to technical documentation (2D/3D) and, where relevant, patent activities
Manage your projects and share progress with the team
Collaborate with international colleagues and occasionally visit customers or production sites (e.g. in Europe, Asia, and South America)
Role requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or similar field
Knowledge of Hydraulics/Electrical/Pneumatic systems
Familiarity with Electronics and controls.
Knowledge of engineering techniques like QFD, DFA, DFM, DFMEA, ECR, FEA, 3D-CAD (Inventor)
Fluent English (verbal and writing)
2+ years of experience in similar products is an advantage
Analytical and detail-oriented
Curious and eager to improve designs
Comfortable tackling complex technical problems
Communicative and collaborative
Practical, hands-on approach to engineering
Shows an ability to think logically
Mathematically inclined.
Good problem-solving skills
