We are looking for an experienced marketing and communication professional to cover for a maternity leave. Your main responsibilities will be to navigate the team, report on progress and budget of year plans towards the Board of Directors. You will be part of the HTH management team and work together on strategic topics. In this role you report to the President of the Board of Directors.

Department

The Marketing & Communication department is responsible for the marketing, positioning, branding, internal and external communication for Hotelschool The Hague. You will manage a dynamic and international team of 4 people and several student assistants. Apart from managing the team you also execute operational tasks. Furthermore, you will closely work together with other internal stakeholders such as the sales & industry department, student services department and human resources department.

General function description

• You are responsible for the direction and execution of the goals and objectives of the department and managing budgets.
• You manage the team; coaching, developing and supporting the employees.
• You advise and monitor on policy and guidelines with regards to branding, website, social media, corporate identity, public relations, press and (online) media.
• Identifying and analysing internal and external developments.
• You work with external & international parties and collaborate intensively with other departments within HTH such as faculty, HR, sales & industry, alumni etc.
• Periodically reporting to the Board of Directors and management team.
• As we are a small team you will also assist the team with operational tasks.

Candidate profile (please add/change bullet points for your role)

You have/are:

• Marketing and communication expert, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• HBO-/WO- degree in communication, marketing, public relations, or related field of work.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• You are a team player with great networking skills and solid ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels.
• You have a hands-on approach and are flexible in terms of tasks and responsibilities.
• Knowledge of the Dutch and international higher education system.
• Having a passion for hospitality is a plus.
• You live in The Netherlands

Remuneration

Hotelschool The Hague offers a salary based on scale 12 the labour agreement of Universities of Applied Science (CAO HBO) with a range between € 5.122,10 and € 6.698,86 per month based on fulltime employment, depending on your professional experience and qualifications.

In addition, Hotelschool The Hague offers:

Additional information

Hotelschool The Hague works with a 40-hour workweek. The starting date for this position is per mid-August/1 September 2024. This is a temporary position until January 2025.

The work location for this position is our campus in Amsterdam and campus The Hague.
