WHERE COMPLEXITY MEETS CLARITY

The Project Execution Manager (PEM) plays a central role in driving the successful execution of large, complex construction projects within Hilti’s international project environment. As the key counterpart to the Construction Project Manager (CPM), you coordinate all execution activities across Engineering, Bid & Proposal, Contracting (non commercial), and Fulfillment. You translate complex customer requirements into structured work packages, ensure seamless cross functional collaboration, and safeguard operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
This role requires strong leadership, technical understanding, and the ability to navigate a broad stakeholder landscape. You will work closely with global and local teams, contribute to best practice development, and support the growth of less experienced Project Execution Managers. This full time position is available as soon as possible and includes collaboration on international projects.

What You'll do

  • Act as the key execution counterpart to the CPM, coordinating PMO activities across Engineering, Bid & Proposal, Contracting, and Fulfillment.
  • Translate complex customer requirements into clear work packages and maintain the internal project plan in alignment with CPM and global stakeholders.
  • Forecast and align resource needs across multiple projects, ensuring the right expertise is available at the right time.
  • Lead task prioritization, internal project communication, and cross functional coordination to drive high quality execution.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks together with the CPM, ensuring stability and strong customer experience.
  • Mentor and support PEM 1 roles and newer Project Execution Managers, fostering a collaborative and high performing team culture.
  • Manage change documentation and communication, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Monitor project performance (scope, changes, quality, team performance, financials) and define improvement actions to support operational excellence.

What You’ll Bring

  • A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (master’s is a plus).
  • Experience managing and executing large construction projects, with a solid project management track record.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills to keep complex projects on course.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and project management tools; familiarity with CDE workflows.
  • A team oriented mindset with the ability to mentor others and contribute to a strong project culture.
  • A project management certification (PMP, PMI, PRINCE2) or the ambition to obtain one.
