Heerema Engineering Solutions (HES) serves clients globally in all key renewable markets and focuses on enabling, improving, and de-risking the construction of offshore wind farms. We offer custom engineering and consultancy services to developers, contractors, and suppliers within the offshore renewable industry, from early-phase development to offshore commissioning. Your role in the story: As Business Developer, you will play a key role in expanding the reach and reputation of HES. You are responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients, nurturing relationships with existing ones, and translating market developments into strategic actions that align with HES’s unique capabilities in offshore wind. You will work closely with Subject Matter Experts, Team Leads and the Commercial Team to align technical strengths with client needs, while managing and improving the business development process. What you will be working on: Communicate HES’s core business and USP to potential clients; identify new business opportunities and manage introduction meetings; monitor market trends to proactively identify opportunities; maintain and strengthen relationships with clients (Account Management); coordinate with SMEs and Team Leads; ensure clear and consistent logging in the CRM; lead and improve BD procedures and workflows; drive ideation and implementation of new services and innovations; represent HES at industry conferences and events (preparation, materials, meeting coordination); prepare compelling presentations and ensure presenters are well-prepared; manage HES's online presence (LinkedIn, Website); maintain and elevate the quality of marketing and representation materials. Key ingredients for success: Higher Vocational, Bachelor or Polytechnic degree in Commercial or Technical field; 5 years’ experience in the Offshore Energy industry; experience, affinity and interest with both technical and commercial sides of offshore projects; ability to translate complex topics into clear client value; good at understanding perspectives of others; excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken; ability to engage with clients F2F, phone and email; flexibility and willingness to travel; ability to function under pressure.
