Track Lead - Wireless Networking
Job Summary
The Network Data L3 Engineer acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for advanced troubleshooting, design support, and operational stability of enterprise network infrastructure across LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud environments. The role ensures high availability, SLA adherence, and drives continuous improvements across network operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Incident Management Provide Level 3 support for complex network incidents, major outages, and escalations Lead P1/P2 incident bridges and drive resolution within SLA timelines Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes Ensure adherence to ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change management) Network Troubleshooting & Support Troubleshoot complex issues across: Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP) WAN technologies (MPLS, DMVPN, GRE) Wireless and Data Center technologies Provide break-fix support and performance optimization Ensure maximum uptime and service availability [Network_L3 | Word] Implementation & Engineering Support Lead/oversee installation, configuration, and migration activities Execute network changes, upgrades, and patching activities Support capacity planning and network optimization initiatives Validate and enforce network design standards and best practices Governance & Process Improvement Ensure compliance with SLA/KPI metrics and audit requirements Define and enhance operational processes and runbooks Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) discussions Identify skill gaps and drive training initiatives within the team [Network_L3 | Word] Stakeholder & Team Management Act as SME for customer interactions and technical escalations Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide knowledge transfer sessions Work in a global delivery / follow-the-sun model

Core Networking Routing & Switching (Cisco, Arista) LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Subnetting Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP Network Platforms & Tools Cisco devices (ISR/ASR, Catalyst, Nexus) Wireless: Cisco / Aruba SD-WAN (Viptela / Meraki preferred) Load Balancers: F5 IPAM: Infoblox WAN Optimization: Riverbed Packet analysis tools (Wireshark, etc.) [Network_L3 | Word] Data Center Technologies (Preferred) vPC, VDC, OTV, FEX High availability, redundancy architectures Disaster recovery & business continuity Qualifications & Experience 8+ years of experience in enterprise network operations Strong hands-on experience in large-scale global network environments [Network Security L3 | Word] Certifications preferred: CCNP / CCIE (Routing & Switching / Enterprise) Proven expertise in: Complex troubleshooting Network design and optimization SLA-driven support environments Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Excellent communication (verbal & written) Ability to work under pressure and in 24x7 environments Strong customer handling and stakeholder management skills Additional Expectations Experience working in managed services or global delivery environments Exposure to automation / scripting is an added advantage Continuous learning mindset aligned to evolving network technologies
