Job Summary
Owns vulnerability remediation across IBM WebSphere Application Server. Version-sensitive patching with significant application-owner coordination.
Key Responsibilities
■ Execute WebSphere fix-pack and iFix application across the estate. ■ Manage Network Deployment cells, clusters and HA configurations during patching. ■ Coordinate with application owners on validation cycles. ■ Align JDK upgrades and dependent middleware library patching. ■ Maintain runbooks; feed Phase 2 automation candidates.
Skill Requirements
■ Deep WebSphere ND administration: cells, clusters, deployment manager, nodes. ■ WebSphere fix-pack and iFix workflow. ■ JVM tuning and JDK alignment. ■ Hands-on wsadmin scripting.
Other Requirements
■ IBM Certified System Administrator — WebSphere. ■ Experience with WebSphere Liberty. ■ Scripting with Ansible or Jython.
