Role, mission & context
As the Senior Software Engineer, you will oversee the full application development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality solutions from design to maintenance. Your expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and modern development practices will be key to delivering scalable and efficient solutions. Strong technical leadership, a problem-solving mindset, and an agile way of working are essential for success in this role.
Understanding of CJA; Launch, Target, Campaign and AEP is a plus
What you will do
You will be a key domain expert responsible for establishing common ways of working and implementing industry-standard methods and best practices. Your role will involve close collaboration with stakeholders across the Volvo Group, leading and supporting the development team to ensure the successful delivery of Adobe initiatives.
Responsibilities
Develop & Deliver – Design, build, and test features using AEM, front-end technologies, and modern frameworks.
Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, and Digital Product Owners to define and implement solutions.
Drive Agile Execution – Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives to ensure smooth project delivery.
Establish Best Practices – Define coding standards, development workflows, and version control strategies to improve efficiency.
Oversee Deployment – Manage builds, releases, and deployments in test and production environments.
Optimize Performance – Continuously improve scalability, security, and efficiency of AEM implementations.
Stay Ahead of Trends – Keep up with the latest AEM advancements and drive innovation within the team.
Collaborate with Adobe – Work directly with experts and business users on Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), Launch, and Target to optimize implementation and maximize business value.
Wanted profile
As Senior Software Engineer you are a team player, self-driven, and have a problem-solving mindset. Since you are part of a global team, with global responsibilities, you will need to actively cooperate and communicate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment.
Required competencies
8+ years of experience in AEM development with expertise in Sites, Templates, Sling, HTL, JavaScript, CSS, and Adobe Clouds.
Strong full-stack experience, including front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular is a plus).
Proven experience leading development teams, driving technical decisions, and mentoring engineers.
Agile mindset with experience in Scrum/Kanban workflows.
Hands-on experience with version control (Git, TFS) and containerized environments (Docker).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalability and security.
Adobe Experience Manager certification is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with full proficiency in English.
Key Responsibilities
2. To conduct comprehensive code reviews, establish and oversee quality assurance processes, performance optimization , implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
3. To ensure process compliance in the assigned module| and participate in technical discussions/review as a technical consultant for feasibility study (technical alternatives, best packages, supporting architecture best practices, technical risks, breakdown into components, estimations).
4. To collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables and accordingly prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure & closure of escalations.
