Job Summary

The Network Engineer (Hands & Feet Support) is responsible for providing on-site technical support for network and IT infrastructure, acting as the physical extension of remote engineering teams. The role involves network troubleshooting, hardware handling, rack & stack operations, and end-user/infra support to ensure seamless IT operations

Key Responsibilities

1. Network & Infrastructure Support Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, connectivity issues) Assist in configuration and support of routers, switches, and firewalls (level-1 / level-2) Support network patching, port activation, and connectivity validation Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 network teams 2. Hands & Feet / Onsite Operations Act as remote hands for offshore/onshore network teams Execute tasks like rebooting devices, cable reseating, hardware swaps Provide real-time coordination during incident and change activities Assist in device installation, de-installation, and migration activities [JD- Hand &...Support DC | Word] 3. Rack, Stack & Cabling Rack, stack, and cable network and server equipment Perform structured cabling (fiber/copper), patching, and labeling Ensure adherence to cabling standards and documentation Support data center audits and compliance checks [JD- Hand &...Support DC | Word] 4. Desktop & End User Support (Secondary Responsibility) Provide desktop/laptop/printer troubleshooting support Resolve hardware/software/network issues for end users Assist with OS installations, software setup, and reimaging Support AV/VC setups and conferencing systems [DesktopSupport_L2 | Word] 5. Monitoring & Incident Management Monitor network and infrastructure alerts Log and track incidents using ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira) Ensure SLA adherence for incident resolution Maintain activity logs and documentation [JD- Hand &...Support DC | Word] 6. Site & Asset Management Maintain inventory of network and IT assets Coordinate with vendors for hardware delivery/installations Ensure site cleanliness, compliance, and safety standards

Skill Requirements

Technical Skills Basic to intermediate knowledge of: Networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP) Routing/Switching fundamentals Hands-on experience with: Cabling, rack & stack activities Network devices (Cisco/Juniper – basic level) Knowledge of: Windows OS, desktop support, and IT infrastructure Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred) Soft Skills Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to work with global remote teams Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Customer handling & onsite support experience Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
