Job Summary
Reporting Analyst (L3) - Job Description Role Summary The Reporting Analyst (L3) is responsible for leading the design, development, and governance of enterprise reporting and analytics frameworks. This role provides advanced data insights, drives reporting strategy, ensures data governance, and enables data-driven decision-making across business and service operations. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise reporting frameworks, dashboards, and analytics solutions • Develop advanced data models and insights to support strategic decision-making • Own end-to-end reporting lifecycle including data sourcing, validation, transformation, and visualization • Drive automation and optimization of reporting processes using advanced tools and scripting • Ensure data governance, quality standards, and audit compliance across reporting systems • Collaborate with stakeholders (business, operations, leadership) to define reporting strategy and KPIs • Provide advanced analytics and insights for RCA, trend analysis, and forecasting • Mentor L1/L2 reporting analysts and drive capability development • Integrate reporting systems with ITSM, monitoring, and operational platforms • Lead SIP/CIP initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, accuracy, and value delivery Required Skills • Expert-level proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau • Strong experience in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts • Advanced data visualization and storytelling capabilities • Experience in automation (Python, VBA, Power Automate) • Strong understanding of KPIs, SLAs, and operational/service metrics • Knowledge of data governance, quality frameworks, and compliance standards • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, IT, or related field • Certifications in Power BI/Tableau or Data Analytics • Experience in Service Desk, NOC, or enterprise operations reporting • Exposure to advanced analytics (predictive modeling, AI/ML insights) • Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS) Key KPIs • Report accuracy and data quality (%) • Timeliness and SLA adherence of reporting • Automation maturity and coverage (%) • Stakeholder satisfaction index • Reduction in manual effort (%) • Insight effectiveness (actionable recommendations adoption) Tools & Technologies • Reporting & BI: Power BI, Tableau, Excel (Advanced) • Database: SQL Server, Snowflake, MySQL • Automation: Python, VBA, Power Automate • Cloud & Data Platforms: Azure Data Factory, AWS • Collaboration: MS Teams, SharePoint • ITSM Integration: ServiceNow
